What are the benefits of HIIT? High Intensity Interval Training

High intensity interval training (HIIT) has gained traction as a quick and effective way to exercise, and it provides many of the same health benefits as other types of exercise. In this article, we’ll look at what HIIT is, its potential benefits, and how to get started with HIIT workouts.

What is HIIT?

HIIT workouts may help a person improve cardiovascular and metabolic health. HIIT is any form of exercise that consists of a short burst of intense exercise that precedes a period of rest or low intensity exercise. HIIT workouts usually last from 5 to 15 minutes, and they can be completed either in the gym or at home. Many HIIT workouts involve a form of interval training in which you alternate between periods of high-intensity and low-intensity exercise.HIIT workouts can be as simple as alternating running and walking during your morning jog. HIIT workouts have been shown to be more effective than continuous exercise for burning fat and improving aerobic capacity. The increase in intensity in HIIT workouts may lead to a greater perceived effort, which in turn can increase the body’s production of growth hormone and other hormones. HIIT workouts may help a person improve cardiovascular and metabolic health

HIIT may also help reduce body fat, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. To keep the heart rate above 85% of a person’s maximum for an extended period of time, HIIT workouts must be intense.

HIIT Workout

There are several ways to make a workout more intense aside from the actual activity. Some examples include sprinting, cycling at high resistance, and climbing stairs while running.HIIT workouts are often performed using multiple repetitions of short, intense bursts of exercise.Appropriate rest periods between repetitions allow the body to recover and prepare for the next bout of intense exercise. HIIT workouts are thought to be more effective than traditional workouts at burning calories because the body is forced to work harder for a longer period of time. The high-intensity exercise may consist of jogging, sprinting, or using an exercise machine. Following the high-intensity period, the person will rest for a period of time, and then repeat the process.

HIIT workouts are popular because they can burn a huge number of calories in a short amount of time. A person can complete a HIIT workout in less than 5, 10 ,20, or 30 minutes, and it can be as effective at increasing metabolism as a longer workout lasting 60 minutes or more.

That’s a lot of bang for your buck.

Also, short workouts are easier to fit into the busy schedules of many exercisers.

This makes doing HIIT workouts a great way to lose weight.

The Warm-Up

It’s Crucial to Stretch and Keep Increasing Mobility so its always best to Start of Stretching to warm of your body. This is the same warm-up that you would use for any other workout. It will get your body ready for the intense bursts of activity that the workout calls for. You can choose your own warm-up
